Porsche Boxster and the Corvette convertible.
Comparison Test: Road Hunks
Parsimony be damned. When you're talking
power, performance, and pizzaz, you're talking big ticket.

Porsche Boxster #1, BMW M Roadster #2, Chevrolet Corvette #3
Excerpts:
Thumbs up for Boxster's:
Front trunk: The Boxster's front cargo
compartment is almost big enough to stuff in another flat-six
engine.
Wind blocker: Only the Boxster has a rear wind
blocker, which allows top-down motoring without the usual
buffeting.
Porsche Boxster: Rated #1
Highs: The intuitive communication through the
controls to the driver creates the magic of true partnership.
Lows: Weak motor means it's a dance partner not
into full-tilt boogie.
The Verdict: Although many will buy this new
Porsche for show, its more secret abilities blossom in private on
small, intimate roads.
